30/11/06: Upcoming projects

It seems that soon a lot of music will be released with Babyface's involvement. Here's a list:

Fantasia's new album "Fantasia" will hit stores December 5th and Babyface co- wrote (with Diane Warren) and produced the song "I Feel Beautiful". The disc includes collaborations with producers Swizz Beats, Missy Elliott (who produced 3 tracks) and Tone Mason and songwriters Diane Warren, Johnta Austin, and Sean Garrett among others. Fantasia will be joined by Outkast Big Boi on "Hood Boy", the album lead single. (thanks to Rob, Seb and Matt)

Here's a new part in the story of the Babyface / Fall Out Boy collabo.... The new album will be "Infinity On High" and will finally be released February 6, 2007. The album's first single has the title "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", and they performed it for the first time November 21st during the American Music Awards show. "There may be other songs on the record that would be bigger radio hits, but this one had the right message," bassist/lyricist Pete Wentz told Rollingstone.com, adding that the sing-along at the end of the track was inspired by Justin Timberlake's "Senorita." Another song, "Carpal Tunnel Of Love," was posted on the absolutepunk.net website this week and is now making its way through cyberspace. Although titles may change by the time Infinity On High is released, other songs slated to appear on the disc are "I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off," "Thriller," the horn and piano-laced "Truth Hurts Worse," the Babyface-produced "Thanks For The Memories" and "Law & Order," which deals with African-American activist Fred Hampton Jr., who was jailed for eight years on what many people believe were trumped-up charges. (thanks to Rob and Runar)

According to her own myspace page, Katharine McPhee is working on her new album and is getting help from Babyface and the Underdogs. (thanks to Matt)

Chapter 4 has also worked with Babyface for their new album (thanks to Matt)

Boyz II Men has released their new album, called "Remedy", in Japan but for the US release in 2007 they will include a second disc with their biggest hits re-recorded. No word yet what songs will be on that disc, but they didn't have any bigger hits than the Babyface productions..... :) (thanks to Filip)

Babyface is also collaborating with Michael Jackson for the new King Of Pop album. (thanks to Matt)

And I've read on the Sister2Sister message board that Babyface is also working with Toni Braxton on her new album which will release in February next year.
